How to Join a Class in Webex
American Gnostic Association of Science and Anthropology is pleased to offer Gnostic courses online through Webex. Below are instructions on how to join a class and some suggestions and guidelines to help make our Webex meetups successful.
First Step: RSVP on Meetup
When you want to join a Webex class please RSVP on the Meetup event page. This is the best way to let us know that you will be attending the class. If plans change, and you can’t make it, please let us know by updating your RSVP.
When It's Time to Join the Class
Joining a class is easy! Simply click the Webex link listed on the Meetup event page at the scheduled time and follow the instructions.
First Time Webex Users:
If this is your first time using Webex, you will need to do a one-time installation of the Webex software to get set-up. Please click the Webex link on the Meetup event page well before the class and follow the prompts in order to set things up.
Webex How To Video:
Here is a helpful video on how to download the initial webex add-on and then participate in a Webex meeting. Please note, you will find the webex link, audio conference number and meeting I.D. located on the particular class Meetup page you wish to attend.
Individual sessions to get setup to use Webex can be arranged. Please contact Gina at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After clicking the Webex link you will be able to view the class presentation and interact through chat. The next step is connecting your audio by clicking the Audio Connection box on the left hand side of the screen.
If you are using a headset or your computer has a built in Mic, you can connect your audio with the computer by selecting “Call Using Computer”. Or you can use the phone for audio by clicking “I Will Call In” and then following the instructions.
If possible, it’s best to use a headset for the class. Audio quality will be better with a headset. Selecting a headset with noise cancellation is recommended, and improves the audio experience for everyone by helping prevent feedback and background noise interference during the class.
OK, Let’s Get Going Sharing Gnosis!
Webex is a highly interactive medium. During the class presentation you can ask questions by typing them in the chat box. After the class presentation we’ll have a discussion and/or a practice related to the topic.
When possible we will be recording the session and post a link where it can be viewed later for your convenience.
Thank you for your interest! For additional assistance in joining classes on webex, please contact Gina at email@example.com. If you have suggestions on how we can improve things, please let us know.
Wishing you Strength and Blessings on Your Spiritual Path,
The AGASA Team
